What We Do
Why
Plastics in the ocean are expected to exceed fish in the ocean by 2050. 80% of that litter flows from land into the ocean via rivers. To protect the ocean, the creatures in it, and our health, we must remove the land-based litter.
It is said that people who pick up litter even once will stop littering. Through our litter pickup, we are promoting both the direct effects of plastic reduction and the indirect effects of changing our own and the next generation's littering culture.
We also share educational resources on ocean plastic pollution with students and school teachers, who have the greatest impact on shaping the culture of the next generation.
